[Nicole:] Hi, My name is Nicole Neesen. I’m from Omaha, Nebraska. Fourteen years ago, my husband and I purchased a Granite Transformations franchise. We had two locations and we successfully did that together for a very long time, until like most business owners, we were fortunate enough to sell it and come to that point in our career where we had to say, “What is our next adventure?”

We had a terrific experience with franchising. We would not think of going into business in any other way. With franchising, we found that you had a partner that you could depend on to help you with a business model that was proven successful and put you on the right path to being profitable, which is why anybody goes into business anyway. You know, we all want to make money but we want to do it in a way that is fun, exciting, and where you can truly enjoy and love going to work every single day. We had that experience in one franchise so we were worried. Were we going to find this in another franchise, and we did.

We made the big decision, I should say, “the easy decision” to purchase a Wild Birds Unlimited. I can tell you from day one, they had us at, “Hello.” Every franchisee we have met is happy. They do not regret their purchase at all, whether they’ve been in the system for, you know, two months or 15 years. The ownership seems to be happy, engaged in the hobby of backyard bird feeding, and thrilled to share it with others. The most important advice I would give anybody in looking at a Wild Birds Unlimited franchise is, “Don’t wait!” If you…I wish I would have done this five years ago, ten years ago I was so excited to join the flock and now having done so, I only wish I had done it sooner.
