Our Franchise Development team just returned from the Franchise Leadership and Development Conference this past week. This is a conference that is co-produced by Franchise Update Media and the International Franchise Association. We have attended this annual conference for many years. Our Director of Franchise Development, Seth Holan did an amazing job as a panelist on a 3 hour workshop entitled “Franchise Sales Fundamentals”. His session was completely full and received rave reviews. He was up there with some of the best Franchise Development professionals out there.
Our CDO/EVP of Franchising, Paul Pickett was invited to co-present the results of the Annual Franchise Development Survey and Mystery Shop Results with Diane Phibbs, Chief Content Officer for Franchise Update Media.
We are very proud to announce that we won two more STAR Awards at the Awards ceremony on Wednesday night. There are five categories that are reviewed for all brands that attend this conference. Telephone Mystery Shop- a mystery shopping company calls into the Franchise Development Team and poses as a candidate. The mystery shopper then scores the brand’s response time, follow up, and how they handled the call and scored on the best practices. Online Mystery Shop- a mystery shopping company completed an online inquiry form as a potential candidate and, like the telephone shopper, scores the brands response time, follow up and how closely they followed the best practices. Social Media- a company reviews every brand’s franchise development social media presence and activity, both paid and organic. Website- a company reviews every brand’s Franchise Development website and is scored on a number of parameters. Franchisee Satisfaction- a company (Franchise Business Review) looks at the list of Franchisee Satisfaction for all of the brands who are attending the conference. This year, there were 134 unique Franchise Brands in attendance. We won two awards- 2nd place in the Online Mystery Shop and 2nd Place Overall. We are so very proud of our team and to get 2nd place award in the Online Mystery Shopping category and 2nd Place Overall is a huge honor!
