“We have so many proprietary products – things that people can’t find anywhere else because they’re exclusively made for us.”

Product Suppliers

We’ve spent more than 30 years developing relationships and buying programs with our product suppliers. Together, we’ve developed more than 650 individual private label products – many of them exclusive to Wild Birds Unlimited. Every approved supplier must meet the highest standards for manufacturing quality and service. This ensures that you go to market with the best backyard bird feeding products available anywhere.

“The information we share (at various organizations) makes people get excited about feeding the birds.”

Local Organizations

Each franchise store owner develops relationships with organizations in their community, such as local nature centers, Audubon chapters, garden clubs and schools. These partnerships provide an avenue for connecting with like-minded individuals who are interested in what Wild Birds Unlimited has to offer. Store owners often give talks to the organization’s members and lead bird walks as a form of community involvement.

“Our newspaper interview ran on the front page and resulted in several people coming into the store who had never been in before. It was a good boost for us.”

Local Media

There’s more to local media relations than just buying advertising. Our franchise store owners develop relationships with producers and reporters at their local newspaper, TV and radio stations. By establishing credibility as the local expert on nature and backyard bird feeding, you’ll earn the opportunity to appear in local news segments and to promote the hobby.
