Prior to owning a Wild Birds Unlimited franchise, Chris spent almost 30 years in the Dallas transportation industry, working for various companies involved in buying and selling truck parts. After Chris moved to California in 1998 and retired in 2009, he devoted his time to his life-long love for bird-watching and became a frequent customer of Wild Birds Unlimited. Three years later, Chris decided he was ready to open his own business. While researching various franchise options, he came across Wild Birds Unlimited and concluded that it was the perfect opportunity to turn his passion for bird-watching into a business.

Prior to owning a Wild Birds Unlimited franchise, Lauren spent 15 years in the retail liquor store industry working for her family’s business. In 2006, she decided it was time to break away from the family business and began working with a franchise broker in search of the perfect business opportunity. Lauren had been a Wild Birds Unlimited customer for a while, so when her franchise broker introduced her to the company’s franchise opportunity, she knew it was a perfect fit.

Gary’s background is in public accounting and financial planning in the private sector. Prior to opening Wild Birds Unlimited in Oakdale, he served as the CFO for a large pharmaceutical company that specialized in nutritional supplements. His wife, Kathleen, served as a paralegal for several Fortune 500 companies and law firms.

Dave is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with degrees in Education and Psychology. He had a career in the sales industry since 1980 where he worked in various industries, including automotive and kitchen appliances. In 1989, Dave’s older brother Scott opened a Wild Birds Unlimited store in Denver and found himself having success. Dave and his wive Kathy decided Wild Birds Unlimited was a good fit for them, too.

Michael and Peggy Parson | Arlington, Texas
Prior to owning a Wild Birds Unlimited franchise, Michael spent 35 years in the automotive aftermarket industry. He served as the Director of Operations and Vice President of New Store Openings for Firestone, where he was responsible for opening 100 new stores each year, which included the development and implementation of marketing and payroll plans. In his early 30s, he started his own company called Mighty Muffler, which he expanded to 18 locations. Peggy is a Certified Public Accountant.
